When she explained her circumstances to me: she'd been part owner in the practice and had sold out, her blood pressure had suddenly started to rise, she was making scheduling committments she couldn't possibly meet, and she was struggling with her teenage daughter's behaviour, I thought to myself, "why didn't she bail out sooner?" I had noticed she suddenly seemed scatter brained, which would have been the last way I'd have described my therapist.
But still, my jaw just about hit the ground. I guess this is as good timing as it gets. At least I don't have workplace stress to deal with at the same time I'm starting with a new T. (I'm due to return to work on 12/20.)
