I've been told that being suicidal is different from having a death wish. I think of the peace and quiet death would give me, rather than how I would achieve it.
I don't know how someone makes the judgement that someone speaking about suicidal ideation equals the action to accomplish it. I have wished for death but I would never want my family to suffer through it - so I haven't been suicidal but have wanted to be dead.
Probably makes no difference in your question, but hey - I'm just here right now...
