You may be doing this already. I don't know, but I have been thinking of you. Go into a dark, quiet, room with a comfortable temperature. Rap yourself up comfortably with a blanklet in a color that represents protection. Have a pillow under your knees and head for support and comfort. Take slow deep breaths in an out. Start with you head and internally say, "Relax and let go". Go to the forehead, face, jaw, neck, chest, arms, hands, stomach, legs, knees, and feet. Take a deep breath and tell each area to Relax and let go. Send the deep breaths deep into each area of the body.
Then, go in your mind and envision a place of comfort, safety, and healing. Perhaps, it could be an island or a forest. You may want a water fall there to wash you of all negative thoughts before you proceed. You may want a gate there to close out anything unwanted or unneeded. You can have a friend or animals there. It's only what you need. Go to this place in your mind. No one can go there. No one can enter it, but you. This is your place to rest any unwanted feelings and thoughts.
Imagine in this place having a body and mind rid of all illness and symptoms. Imagine feeling free, peaceful, and complete. Imagine all the things you would do with this body and clear mind in this place. You can envision a brook there. This brook is there for you to place on a leaf a negative thought or a painful emotion. You place it on the leaf and watch slowly move over the rocks and see it disappear.
This place is there for you whenever you need it, Snapper. It is your personal paradise. You can make an appt with yourself before or after every tx to go to this place. You can name this place.
Snapper, this is your personal get a way whenever you need it. You can work each day of trying to make it more and more real. Hearing the silence there. Feeling the warmth of the Sun. Touching beautiful plants of colors of the rainbow.
Imagine the pressure within you mind slowly becoming less and less. Imagine your mind filling up with the peace, beauty, and healing powers of this personal paradise. As you leave this paradise, imagine that you leave with the power of peacefulness as you safely close it's gates so no one can enter.
I know you are suffering and you can take this in steps that you can handle. Perhaps, you can just do some deep breathing and envision the breath going into each part of the body. You may want to pretend it has a color and you breath this color in an out or you are excepting the breath of the universe. Maybe, just reading this post helps.
Any of these exercises give you mind a rest or a break from this course of intense stress. Even if you do it for just 5 mins, it helps give you a 5 min. break you deserve.
