there are different types, like massage, feldenkrais, alexander technique, reiki. Mostly involve some gentle touching or learning movement exercises. You could do a web search on 'bodywork' and probably get a bundle of info.

The theory is that you can access emotional issues and change patterns directly through working with the body, rather than talking about things. I don't have direct experience with any of it.
