I just don't feel *safe* expressing a non-conformist point of view in the too-close-to-it-for-comfort virtual police state that we get to live in. I have a good dose of paranoia from my few dealings with what was the INS. Just getting my name changed on my green card when I was remarried was an exercise in humiliation, degradation and a feeling of definitely being an Undesirable.
