I take 1200 mg of Calcium, and 250 of Magnesium (plus whatever's in my prenatal vitamin..no, I'm not pregnant.) :)

I also used to take Premsyn PMS or Midol PMS. They have something in there, maybe it's an antihistamine? that helps with nerves, and a mild diuretic to help with water bloat.

Yoga can be a good help, too.

Finally, my pdoc recommended I go up a half tab of my antidepressant (nardil) during PMS, since I get so much more emotionally sensitive then.

Good luck.
