I've had toes and fingers go to "sleep" from medications when I've started up. (But I think you stopped your meds - still true?)
otherwise... news socks too tight? new shoes not large enough in toebox area? These can also cause blood circulation problems in your toes. Or if you have Reynaud's (where your toes and fingers turn blue easily in the cold) this is a benign condition that's helped by some lifestyle changes.
Too much caffeine reduces blood circulation.
Alcohol causes circulation problems. Those are the non-nerve stuff I thought of. I used to have a lot of problems with my little piggies when I lived in England, caused by damp weather, excessive perspiration, and high alcohol intake. I developed chillblains which do *not* make your toes numb, but red, itchy, sore and swollen. No sandals for ClearSkies!!
Now that I live in the semi tropics of Florida, my feet are fine.
