One day, after I had done this glucose tolerance (fasting) test, I had something very similar happen to me.
I also had just started Klonopin so I have no clue if it was related to that or not.
Anyway, I woke up and could see, but I could not move my body or speak- it freaked me out. I couldn't get my husband's attention because I was literally paralyzed (only my brain was working!).
Anyway, it lasted for maybe 2-3 minutes (felt like forever), then I was able to grunt and finally speak/move.
I asked about it here and Larry Hoover gave me a link to read about sleep paralyzation (I think that was the name of it). Apparently, it's not very uncommon but it is very scarey.
I am sure your medicine is likely related to this for you (and it might have been for me) but I haven't had it since.
How often is this happening? I think if it happens more than once, you should contact your doctor.
I hope you find answers soon. I remember how freaked out I was!
