Topamax

Posted by pekastare on September 27, 2005, at 11:24:31

I started Topamax a couple of weeks ago for migraines that I have had since 10yrs (I am 22). 25mg at bedtime everynight. I take it and go to bed. Sometimes, I wake up after I fall asleep especially if my boyfriend is too loud and wakes me up when he goes to bed. If I do wake up, my mind will first wake up but my body will still be paralyzed. I panic because it's a scary feeling to not be able to move your body. I very much feel dead and it is hard to breathe. Then my body will wake up and I can move around. I will open my eyes but I will have no idea where I am! My surroundings look 100% foreign and I panic again. Last night, I looked up at my ceiling which is just usually white and bumby, but it had turned into a beautiful stone structure. Sure it was beautiful, but I had no idea where I was... Is this normal and will it go away. Anyone hear of anything similar? My stomach also feels like its being ripped apart. Headaches have improved though. I do love to travel, but this is scary.
