It would help to get a clear physical description of what the mold looks like. Identifying the species goes a long way towards determining what you need to do about it.
One very simple way to test your home's "mold exposure rating" is to leave it. If you feel better after two or three days away, and then sick again within hours of your return, it's a pretty ominous sign.
