orthostatic changes

Posted by CareBear04 on November 26, 2004, at 1:04:12

does anyone know what this means? i know the basic definition, but what disorder does it indicate? while i was in the hospital recently, the drs were really concerned because my blood pressure would drop and my pulse would go up by 50 points when i went from lying down to standing. they told me i needed to hydrate like crazy. still, i've had the problem of seeing stars and almost fainting when standing up too fast for as long as i can remember. i read somewhere that orthostatic/postural hypotension and tachycardia may be associated with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia? anyone know if this is true? please let me know. thanks! cb
