Apply undiluted using q-tip or whatever as much as you can to the area.

Parasites also cant stand lemon juice. If its anything fungus related, a cheap solution is to buy Nizoral Shampoo , preferrably 2% and clean your ear with it. Its ingredent (ketoconazole) is a very potent anti fungal.

JLB,
Thanks so much for your advice.

My ear seems to be much better. It took about 10 days though. I get this periodically where I have pain in that ear and around it. It may not be an infection but it feels the same as when I have had an infection. I sometimes get under the skin type cysts in or around my ear and if they are far enough into the ear it can cause this feeling. Also, if I get congestion like from a head cold or allergies, it can cause pain in that particular ear. The problem is that I don't always know which one is the real issue when I have that dull pain and I hate to go to the doctor (as I don't have insurance) just to hear that it's nothing critical.

It's really good to know about the lemon juice though - for so many different usages. I bet that would be a good topical anti-bacterial solution as well. I wonder if I could use it on my cats also or would it burn too much? Ironically, a friend of mine just gave me 3 lemons from a tree in her yard. I think I'll make some juice and freeze it.

Anyway thanks again,
Kara
