Seeing a doc would be easier , youd probably get Cipro or some other antibiotic, but since you are in a jam so to speak with the insurance, my personal (not 100% positive it will work) and based on my pharmacology and other knowledge would be to use 100% pure lemon juice or oil (you can buy a the grocery store). Apply undiluted using q-tip or whatever as much as you can to the area.
Lemons, and lemon juice kill all known bacteria and viruses in vitro and studies show (pubmed!) that this effect is replicated in vivo, although less consistent. Parasites also cant stand lemon juice. If its anything fungus related, a cheap solution is to buy Nizoral Shampoo , preferrably 2% and clean your ear with it. Its ingredent (ketoconazole) is a very potent anti fungal.
Selenium, Zinc & Vitamin A will all increase your T helper cell 1 side of your immune system to fight off infections in general.. Thats good..
Good luck
All the best,
JLB
