I like whole water chestnuts--they come in a can and are ready to eat. Crunchy, kind of nutty, slightly sweet taste.
I also like fruit--navel oranges are an easy, portable and yummy snack. Bananas, although finding bananas at the right level of ripeness is a challenge.
