I am no expert on death. I cannot say with certainty that there is an afterlife. I tend not to think so. However, I don't think that one needs to believe in an afterlife in order to believe in God. Perhaps it is not God's way to provide a heaven for the minds of men for all of eternity. This would argue in favor of one's making his heaven here on Earth for as much as his circumstances will allow.
