Dr. Bob,
I did not begin reading or posting on the Faith board of Psychobabble until today. I am shocked! Perhaps I should attempt to explain something......
As Christians we care very deeply about others, and I certainly want to be lovingly supportive of other human beings as persons of great value. However,it appears that as soon as we express the basic tenant of our faith, that very core, that which gives us a heart for others ......we are blocked. It would be nearly impossible to say ANYTHING on this board
if we cannot speak and live out that which is fundamental to us ....TRUTH. We are not intolerant, narrow or exclusive as we are sometimes painted; quite the contrary, we welcome ALL who would enter the fold.
My faith has been the very reason that I have survived mental illness, and gone on to practice professionally, that I may share that healing, and from whence it came with others.
I know you can block me if you choose, but I do not believe that anything I have said here is not loving and sensitive. I cannot be asked to "support" views that speak untruths.
However, if you DO block me your intolerance will be showing........is that sensitive and supportive of me and my brothers and sisters?
