Sorry, forgot that I actually had posted here. Yep, Eva landed in Manzanillo last Sunday. She returned to Ottawa last Thursday and I've spoken with her twice since then. She is in perfect condition and said that the only hard thing about being out on the water was that she was worried that everybody else was going to start worrying, but was kind of surprised as to the extent that everybody else was worrying. The reason for the ship not docking for like 2 weeks? No wind... It was a sailboat with no motor. They had no telecommunications equipment on board because it was meant as a learning experience for novice sailors.
She said that the Captain was a really good man, though a bit bizzarre. Turns out that he practically lives on the water, and that the whole reason why they have that Immigration issue with him is because he doesn't really live on land. He just sails from place to place and lives on his boat.
Anyways, thanks for everybody who was thinking about her. She is truly one of the few "good" people that I've met in my life. If I had lost her... I don't know what would have happened to me.
