Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
It has been revealed to me that knowledge of the holy is revelation from God.(I date my scriptures when they are opened up to me in answer to a question or a problem I am having)

As I was reading this it was revealed to me that my sins are also forgiven.
We all make poor choices and have need of a Redeemer to reconcile us before God. I have need of my Savior.Oh, here's another one. I had a very hard time in 1995, before I knew I was bipolar. I was reacting and thought I was going to fall.
http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=Luke+22%3A31-32 I didn't fall.I received strength and direction from scriptures and prayer, and guidance toward health. I found a good councillor, a doctor, trusted friends, I learned how to do emotional healing (a variation of whole hearted healing), and now a supplement (EMPower) that has helped.
Each person travels their own road. A Savior lights each individual path to happiness, health, and God. He does not want us to be miserable. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy path. Lean not unto thine own understanding. (a bit mis-quoted, but the thoughts are all there.)
