I'm reading a good book on the subject called 'Surviving a Borderline Parent' http://www.amazon.com/Surviving-Borderline-Parent-Boundaries-Self-Esteem/dp/1572243287/sr=8-1/qid=1164512520/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4714066-1826331?ie=UTF8&s=books
It seems to describe the dynamics of the relationship with my parents quite well and I'm recongnizing parts of myself in it. I would recommend this book if you think one of your parents may have borderline tendencies.
