Hi,

I love Flannery O'Connor, but her novels are all really long and heavy. I enjoy her short stories so much more (and I normally don't like short stories). If we want a female southern writer, can I suggest Carson McCullers instead? Like _The Heart is a Lonely Hunter_?

Or we could pick a couple Flannery O 'Connor short stories.

Oh dear, I've just created even *more* options.
