Last winter after I finished reading Catcher in the Rye I had an awful panic attack. Reading it was like putting salt in my wounds of depression. It made my already bleak world view that much worse. I turned into a zombie from shock and I couldn't really explain what was going on. The vibe from the book made the depression that much harder to fight because of the main character's views and actions.
CITR may be vary valuable for others in the group, for the book does make you think and the writing is quite good. I just don't want to read it untill more time has passed.
