No reason for you to give up potato starch, especially since you're feeling so much better on it. It might be a good idea to start taking inulin in addition to potato starch. The rats in this study were fed a diet of both prebiotics, and it was found that they worked synergistically. Maybe adding a third prebiotic, GOS, would be even more helpful.
