When I first had my levels checked, they were very low. My brothers, who also suffer from mood disorders, had low levels as well. We all live in Florida and one lives in Miami by the beach. I suspect absorption may be an issue.I read that maintaining levels of +50 have shown to improve energy levels in Fibromyalgia patients (wish I had the link to the study to share).
I think that when it comes to supplements in terms of vitamins and minerals we need to maintain optimal levels, especially when chronically ill.
