When do you take it? First thing in the morning? So many herbs that help me feel good during the day seem to affect my sleep at night in the same way you mention. I'll feel fine, bounding out of bed with energy, but will crash later in the day because I only got a half-night's sleep! I noticed a mile "brightening" when I took camu-camu, but not enough to have me continue it. I still have it, though, and take it when I feel a cold coming on.
