In answer to your question, I eliminated ativan because my doctor didn't want me to have it anymore owing that it is addictive and I tried to commit suicide on it. I take Risperdal injections and Zoloft for anxiety. I don't have excessive adrenalin like you do. As far as memories triggering anxiety, yes I had that too quite a bit, but I think it had more to do with dopamine and/or serotonin problems than overproduction of adrenalin. And also, maybe lack of inhibitory processes as well because I am very sensitive to outside stimuli, such as loud noises. At least, that's the case for me.
Because I take medication, I don't really need taurine, but you say it helps you, that is good. Stay with it if it helps you. Taurine is a pretty safe supplement to take from what I know. Glycine is also an inhibitory supplement like Taurine. You might try that one too. It helped me in the past, but I can't take it now with my medication. Thanks for your reply.Lao
