trouble staying awake during day

Posted by g_g_g_unit on June 20, 2008, at 7:37:37

hey i've had these symptoms for the past couple of weeks but just put it down to winter blues. now unfortunately it's starting to interact with my functioning. i find it difficult to get out of bed - never feel fully rested - and am falling asleep around 4pm for a couple of hours, without any negative impact on my sleep later that night. due to decreased energy i have much less patience for peeople, am just staying at home rather than socialising etc. only good thing is i'm so flat physical anxiety isn't bad but it's also hard to get excited about anything. would it make more sense to see an MD or naturopath about this? i had a blood tests done for hypoglycemia and some other general stuff recently and everything came back ok except slightly low zinc levels.

the main changes i've made surrounding the onset of the fatigue (not in reaction to it but i mean these things just happened around the same time) have been switching from a good liquid b complex to a generic one presrcibed by doc which i resort to when i run out of the good one; also the addition of 50mg of p5p. i also have been taking zinc from doctor for past two months (prescription bottle says zinc sulphate [50mg of elemental zinc]. 1 fish oil morning 1 at night, and a phospholipid complex.

diet is okay i think. make sure to have protein w/ lunch, dinner. drink protein shakes. have cut out sugar (including most fruits) etc.
