Tried it alot. It never worked for me in isolation or for a long time.
I wasted a LOT of money on aminos and sustained improvement was always lacking. I wish this wasn't the case becuase it seems to theoretically be a valid way to fix out problems - unless the body is extremely adept at downregulating production in response to increaes of precursor aminos. This could be an adaptive response to prevent NE or serotonin overload from mistakenly eating too much of something.
Apparently I read that some university holds a patent on phenylalanine for increasing dopamine and never used it because they found it does not work.
SOme people seem to swear by them though - maybe they have less efficient regualation systems?
