I've been taking l-tyrosine (500mg before breakfast) for a couple of months now. I still get a energizing boost from it every morning. A little irritability, too, but that's manageable. Granted, the boost is a little smaller now than it was the first week, but it's been holding steady since.
I think it works synergistically with the methylphenidate (and maybe the SAMe?) I also take.
Anyway, I am concerned about poop-out, too, so in a small gesture towards preventing it, I try to skip the tyrosine a day or two a week.
