I'm seeing a medical herbalist- what to expect?

Posted by Meri-Tuuli on May 23, 2006, at 13:45:38

I'm hoping that I'd be able to get some treatment for depression. I'm not taking anything right now, except some fish oil and multivitamins/minerals.

I'm hoping that they'd be able to tell me if I can combine some various herbs that I'm interested in - namely gingko, SJW and perhaps rhodiola. I emailed one herbalist, and she hasn't used rhodiola before, which is abit strange if you wask me. I'm pretty intersted in using this herb.

I have a feeling that I'll have to take the herbs from the herbalist - well, I'm pretty certain I want to go back onto SJW, but I'll only take kira. And I want to know what herbs I'm going to be taking.

Oh well.

Anyway it only costs £36 ($50?) for an hour and a half, so its worth a shot anyway.

I got the name from the 'national institute of medical herbalists' website here in the UK.

Anyone have any experiences with herbalists?

Kind regards

Meri
