Lithium orotate is supposedly a "natural" form of lithium carbonate. Several months ago someone posted a thread asking people to participate in the Lithium Orotate Project. There's a lot of information at this website:

This discussion reminds me of a town in Georgia called Lithium Springs. The local springs contained lithium and in the old days it became a resort/healing center where people would drink and bathe in the springs. These days the water from those springs is bottled and sold on the retail market along with other bottled water.
