Yeah, he mentioned the iodine thing, the guy promoting the Sea Vegg product. He said the dangers were overblown. He basically used the "Japan sociological data" again, the stuff that Stoll uses in his omega-3 book, the stuff that I think I talked to you about in another thread. He (Sea Vegg guy) said that sea veggies are the reasons for the low disease rates in Japan. He pointed out that even though there are more Japanese smokers on average than American smokers, far fewer of them die from lung cancer. He also went through a whole thing on how the veggies "normalize pH," how he hasn't been sick in ten years and dropped his medical insurance because once your pH is normalized, you will just never ever get sick again. I don't know. I know it's a bunch of crap (or a partial bunch of crap), but I got sucked in listening to it. I almost ordered the product yesterday, but will wait and do more reading before I integrate more sea vegetables into my life.
