I guess people are giving the alternatives another go since some of the pharmacudicals have been linked to strange behavior.
When SSRI's were linked to increased suicidal thinking, I was about to say: "no duh"
I have always believed that SSRI's make me more suicidal, yet am either addicted, or benefit in some way.
I have said it a thousand times. I think the world would be a happier place if we had some potent 5-ht1a agonists.
Sure, SSri's give you a little activity there, but the 5-ht2a,2c, 5-ht3, 5-ht1d, 5-ht7 agonism just trashes any positive effect they may exert.
And makes you feel lousier on many different levels.SJW has some 5-ht1a agonism, but some of the other actions make me a little wonkey. Dispite some claims to the contrary, I really think it has significant anticholinergic activity, cause to me it is a dumb drug.
Oh well.
