Chris,

At this point, my anxiety is too overwhelming for me to even deal with all of the exercises. Even trying the initial meditation made me more nervous. I will try this again later when I'm more able to utilize it. I think that, as you say, it probably has some good effects but you need to practice it regularly (or at least as the need arises). It's not a quick fix forever - but then that would be an unreasonable expectation anyway.

I'll definitely get back to you if/when I'm able to give it a fair shot.

Take care and hope you're doing better.

Kara

As to the therapy adminstered on a self-level working effectively, I still think it does something for me, though I got pummeled last week with a massive Super-Ego/Critical Parent beating (at least I think that's what it was, with the help of my therapist), which left me worrying, obsessing, feeling like I was going to Hell, which is one of the reasons I started re-taking SSRIs again about 8 months ago. This I can say about the energy tapping: When I am a willing participant to the tapping, when I am open to it, and I try to "let go" of my fears/anxieties while doing it, I do get some type of relaxation out of it. I can feel it in my body. Less tension, less obessing. But as to those feelings lasting or the tapping causing long-term change, no, that hasn't happened to me really. But I haven't tried everything in the book either.
