I got QUEST brand SAM-e 200mg.
The label says One Tablet Contains: S-adenosyl-methionine 200mg (From 400mg of S-adenosyl-methionine-disulfate-tosylate). Is it 100% active SAM-e or only 50%?I have been taken one tablet as soon as I wake up in the morning (on empty stomach) for 6 days.
The first day I took, I felt great. Anxiety was still there, but it did something to my depression. I felt a little dizzy and foggy. The second day, I had very similar effect as the first day. Since the third day to today, I'm not having such effect. It's giving me some muscle twitching, similar to SSRI's, but much less, i think.
What I also notice since the beginning of taking it is that my sleep-cycle is back. I'd rather say I sleep more than I used to. I also sleep really deep at night. However, it kind of makes me tired as well. Is this something that goes away?
Should I increase the dosage now?
