You may want to consider using taurine. My own experience has been similar to another's, and she has withdrawn from long-term clonazepam. We use slightly different language, but I think the effect itself is quite similar. Taurine makes me feel like I don't need a benzo, rather than I took a benzo. The need goes away, and not the same way it does from a drug. Remarkable, really.
Taurine at 2 grams seems to be my own benchmark dose. My friend uses a bit less, but I weigh twice as much, nearly. You can't hurt yourself with taurine, so maybe it's a 'freebie' i.e. safe supplement?
Chemically, taurine is the sulphonic acid analog of the carboxylic acid, GABA. It also has a similar effect on brain chemistry, being generally inhibitory. There are taurine reuptake pumps in every synapse, so your brain is quite prepared to use this stuff.
