For a brief period (about 1 month), a couple of years ago, I used both DLPA 500mg and L-Tyrosine 500mg once a day. I'd gone through a period of many months, maybe years, of fog and inability to keep anything straight or organized, stick to tasks (other than sitting in front of the computer, for some reason!).
The month that I was on those two in combination was like a vacation from all that. I still marvel at how organized, efficient and clear-minded I became within a few days of beginning to take the supplements.
I could do math in my head again, and I organized five years' worth of messy "files" (read piles of papers in no order) into tidy boxes for storage.
Some unfortunate side effects, particularly of the L-Tyrosine (bad, bad headaches) - took me off of the combo. I went onto 5-HTP for about a year after that, and while it kept my mood level, never have I experienced anything like the DLPA + Tyro combination. I'm now nursing a baby so I can't experiment - how I wish I could, since my brain is all foggy again (only moreso)!
The main recommendation I would make based on my own experiment is to stick with good quality, and 500mg or less dosage, especially if you are prone to headaches or migraines. Actually that's more for the Tyro now that I think about it, I don't remember any s/e from the DLPA (never took it alone though).
