Wouldn't this all go away if you screened the posts (have your Grad students do it for extra credit)???
First off, I repeat LOUDLY, you have a GREAT blog site just as it is... I only speculate that you will one day throw your hands up and quit much to our collective dismay, ....unless...........
(I've brought this up before but didn't have any ammo to show anyone how it works) I currently belong to 4 Yahoo "Groups" that each and all use voluteers in some kinda chaotic rotation to screen the posts... Total of the 4 sites is always over 200 posts per day... 1 site guarantees 24 hour delay and the rest don't commit... These sites get more popular every day, with or without post screening...
All this vitriol over your perceived unfairness could be silenced... Then all of us could go about whatever business we attend to here without the undercurrents of intrigue now present...
...and after 2 years, you must be familiar enough with my sincerety to know I'm "four-square" on your side... You are doing a great job already... I just see you lasting longer if you become a manager instead of the designer-producer-tinkerer-troubleshooter-ChiefCookandBottleWasher that you are today...
I see terrific potential in some threads for breakthrough insights, such that perhaps you and some colleagues could review these threads and produce papers, articles, books and DVDs on what you discover here, if you had the time given you by your new roll as manager...
