You haven't said anything that is explicitly inconsistent that I noticed.But that is a general strategy, yes.
To explore the issue more to see whether they are truely analogous and to pinpoint the difference, or to see that there isn't a relevant difference.You think there is a relevant difference
I think that they might be fairly much the same in some relevant respects
But...
Apparantly our values are different so it is pointless to discuss it further.
