When I tried to sign up I went through about 6 different usernames trying to find one that wasn't taken. I tried alex, alex2, but I hate numbers and so I ended up with my name kind of by default (though I quite like it). I guess that means that I realised that there would be other posters with similar usernames though. What really rattles me is when there are people with my real name, or variations on it. I guess it is kind of nice to think that someone would choose that volontarily for themselves.
