I'm sorry, i'm trying to understand, and i don't.

Not defend myself? You came in to defend him, in the interest of civility and so he wouldn't have his feelings hurt. Yet you let stand his posts, which are positively dripping with derision and sarcasm and which hurt my feelings.

It looks to me like i said stuff straight up, so you had something uncivil to quote, whereas there's nothing uncivil to quote from his posts except his ironic quotation marks and sarcastic way of prefacing his remarks with "please."

So he gets away with it because it's subtle and hard to quote? I can't think you're really saying that you don't see anything uncivil about his posts.

I do apologize for my extremely uncivil outburst this morning. He did it again, only more so, and i had just woken up. I don't know if you can delete my initial response and let the discussion continue, or if you have to do something more drastic. I'm prepared for the consequences and again i sincerely apologize.
