Dr Bob,

June 10, 2005? If so, aren't the dorms rather empty except for summer quarter folks? Any way the campus Student Union could get involved? If so, they can make vacant dorm rooms available for a weekend party, to your guests. Lots less bucks than the local hotels.

June 10 is Friday, so we could site see Saturday. Navy Pier may be too prosaic, but the Sears Tower (IF ITS STILL STANDING), Michigan Ave is a nice walk (June means no falling ice cicles), the Chicago Botanical Gardens is gorgeous in June, and my favorite - The Cheesecake Factory in the base of the Hancock building. Most of these are a short "Red Line" ride from U-of-Chicagoland, which would introduce strangers to the el trains.

Tell me what you think.

Rod
