I've lost the post, but someone compared the admin board to a public hearing or city council meeting or similar meeting.
I don't know if they meant it, but I think that is right on target. At a public hearing or city council meeting, the "people" (citizenry) get to express their views, during the appointed time and usually following some sort of pre-set format (at least where I live).
The thing that reminds me of a public hearing or city council meeting is the ongoing stream of restated sentiments, with various levels of "energy." Here where I live, we've had city council meetings that have lasted all night because of all the people signed up to speak, and often they will take the council (or the zoning committee, or the architectual variances task force, etc.) to task for its actions (sound familiar, Phil?). The difference is, it doesn't go on for days and days and days, with pretty much the same core group speaking over and over again.
I'm probably the only one in my city that watches city meetings on their cable channel, and I've seen many examples of people expressing their disagreement, or perhaps even 'appealing' a previously made decision. It is interesting stuff, but I find that more than about one 8-hr. round of testimony, complaints, hostility, anger, name-calling and negative characterizations is about all I can take (or all I want to take).
It feels to me that PB Admin is about in hour 16, and still going strong. I would just ignore the postings, but I have a morbid fascination* with what charges people will levy next against the administration of the site, or Dr. Bob personally. One positive thing about city council meetings is that they do end eventually.
(*But, I do NOT rubberneck at car accidents.)
