Dealing with a particular poster - me

Posted by AKC on July 27, 2001, at 14:30:25

I need some advice.

Obviously, I am fitting in - on Psycho-Social-Babble.

But, I am having problems fitting in on Psycho-Babble proper. I do okay with responding to others' posts. But I have difficulty in getting my needs met when posting. For instance, take my latest post. All I was seeking really was a yes or no response -- is nausea a symptom of Effexor XR withdrawal? I thought I explained that I didn't want to go off into other withdrawal symptoms, because I didn't want to put ideas in my head -- I don't want to think every twitch in my body as I am tapering the Effexor is related. However, the one and only responder went into great detail. Now as soon as I saw that the poster was doing this, I quit reading.

This seems to always be the case when I post a question on PB. I don't get a response to the question I post or I get a response that is off target. Am I just being too hypersensitive? Or am I missing something in the etiquette of posting (being new to discussion boards)?

Any advice?
