I used to take fish oil supplements. I didn't notice feeling any better while I was taking them, or feeling any worse when I stopped taking them. Some people argue that it's better to get omega-3 fatty acids from eating fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines.
Recently I've read that fish oil might work better in combination with pro-resolving mediators. They're sold by Life Extension:
