Thank you for your generous feedback. I experienced a hyperarousal state which resulted from a small decrease in my nortriptyline dosage. My guess is that it was similar to a discontinuation rebound improvement, which I have experienced a number of times in my treatment history. If I were to rewrite my posts, I would change a great many words, but not the message in my observations and conclusions - not one bit. When someone faults antidepressants for having side effects while they resurrect human consciousness and save lives, I am incredulous. Of course some side effects are unacceptable and intolerable.
Ask someone who chose to save their lives at the cost of 5 weeks of throwing up violently and feeling absolutely miserable. Can we find fault in cancer drugs? To each his own when choosing.
When I report being in remission, give what you read all due scrutiny. Nevertheless, I can live with side effects effects that I can tolerate. I could not tolerate living life without the drugs that produce them.
Some see things as they are and ask why.
I dream of things that never were and ask why not.The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
