I would say though, that many multivitamin supplements are very high doses and hence can start to behave like drugs. Also, sometimes if a supplement is normalizing things, it can, at first, make you feel worse. I do believe that meds / and the disease itself can lead to deficiencies in certain nutrients. However, I think the best way to address this is by taking lower dose supplements, in a pulsed fashion, over longer periods of time.
Every spring, I notice that my mood gets much more raw and I experience increased emotionality and anxiety / insomnia. I have noticed that restricting sunlight and (surprisingly) taking choline is actually helping me. Zinc and DHA are also supplements that agree with me.
