Yeah, I was between doctors. I was afraid it was a fungal infection and that I would need oral antifungals (possibly requiring an alteration of my psychiatric meds).
Yes, the skin can absorb many substances. It is possible that some of the ginger was absorbed through my skin (?).
Or perhaps inflammation in the skin was passing into the bloodstream. I have no idea, it's way above my pay grade.
