Probably not -- I read that all the -caine local anaesthetics, except for cocaine, induce vasodilation.

I think it's the noradrenaline. From what I read, it often appears that cocaine is a particularly strong noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, in comparison with eg. methylphenidate. Maybe the dose-response curve does *not* flatten at higher doses.
