i've been on 12.5 mg daily, its a low-moderate dose. But what i've found about valium is it's good for relieving generalized anxiety, and tension. Say after a hard stressful day, or your worn out from stress, diazepam is a good med. But for severe anxiety, and panic attacks, it doenst seem so useful. For severe anxiety it requires higher doses such as 20-30mg daily. Ativan and Xanax are much better at treating severe anxiety and panic attacks. Valium requires a heavier dose, and still even with that it's not as effective for treating severe anxiety, its more generalized anxiety attacks. It has calming feeling but not enough to treat a severe anxiety case. Like i said, you have to take 15mg dose for heavier anxiety, while 2mg of ativan will relieve it better. I had insomnia for a long time, diazepam would help me get to sleep, but not as effective, and then i woke up 2 hours later with severe anxiety.
there's no high or enjoyable relief from valium, atian and xanax are much better. They also improve mood better than diazpeam.
so that's just a general over view, i've had severe anxiety during the day, and it somewhat helps but i will have a lingering background sting feeling of anxiety even with 10mg. So i think this should be noted.
That's it....nuerotin acutaully can be similar because it has calming very similar to diazpeam
