It's interesting. In addition to rotation, you also take smaller than recommended doses. Plus, I think you manipulate your environment according to need. This has helped me out, thinking about medications and adjuncts with nuance.
In my experience I've done well with a core of medications, an AD at recommended strength and lamictal. Because I still have symptoms of cyclothymia (now full BPll) finding this platform stabilizes me. There is usually a stimulant that cycles through. For awhile I did ok with provigil--but it's kinda weird stuff and changed the expression of my personality.
Also, attention to sleep, light and meditation.
